Catalyst.
Educator. Advocate.
A fifth-generation educator, trained litigator, and passionate connector of children with learning — and people with one another.
Collette Bowers Zinn. J.D., M.ed.
Education has always been at the center of my life.
As a fifth-generation educator, I’ve seen firsthand the power of schools to shape identity, confidence, and opportunity. As a trained litigator, I learned to navigate systems, ask hard questions, and advocate with intention.
The Onyx Movement sits at the intersection of those experiences.
For more than 20 years, I’ve served as a connector—bringing together families, educators, and institutions in ways that create stronger alignment and more meaningful outcomes for all. This work is about more than placement or programming. It’s about ensuring that every child, every person —and every community—has access to environments where they are not only included, but valued and able to thrive.
There is work to be done. And I remain deeply and passionately committed to doing it—together.
